From October 17 – 20, Copland House (Cortland Manor, NY) is partnering with The Jacob Burns Film Center (Pleasantville, NY) to present a mini-festival of Aaron Copland’s music for film and chamber ensemble. “Copland’s film music was really innovative in charting a different artistic course,” shares Michael Boriskin, Copland House Artistic and Executive Director.
The Burns Center screenings will feature six Copland-scored films; and on October 20, the Music From Copland House ensemble offers the program “Sonorous Images: Copland’s Chamber Music” at The Merestead Estate in Mt. Kisco, NY.
