Copland House has announced the 2013 composer-participants in the Copland House Residency Awards. Artistic and Executive Director Michael Boriskin shares, “These residencies have always embraced both emerging and established artists, and we’re very pleased that this year’s residents range widely from a well-known, much-performed figure…to young composers at the very beginnings of their careers….”
Hailing from five States and the UK, the 2013-14 season’s residents include: Keith Fitch (Cleveland Heights, OH), Saad Haddad (Northridge, CA), Aaron Holloway-Nahum (London, UK), Tonia Ko (Ithaca, NY), Nicholas Omiccioli (Kansas City, MO), Kurt Rohde (San Francisco, CA), Christopher Theofanidis (New Haven, CT), and Dale Trumbore (Los Angeles, CA).
An Official Project of the federal Save America’s Treasures program, Copland House is the only composer’s home in the US devoted to nurturing and renewing America’s rich musical heritage through a broad range of creative, educational, and performance programs.
