Here’s a behind-the-scenes shot from baritone Thomas Hampson’s recent appearance with Giancarlo Guerrero and the Nashville Symphony for the world premiere of War Songs, Richard Danielpour’s newest orchestral song cycle. The program also featured Danielpour’s earlier song cycle Songs of Solitude (which was also written for Hampson); and after offering three performances, they all went into the studio to record the work for future release on Naxos.
