Commissioned by the Pacific Symphony, <em>Toward a Season a Peace<\/em> was written for the orchestra&#8217;s 2012 American Composers Festival which celebrated &#8220;Nowruz&#8221; &#8212; the Persian New Year and arrival of Spring. The concert also featured the Pacific Chorale and Grammy-winning soprano Hila Plitmann, conducted by Carl St. Clair.
