Take a hike to a secret location to listen to music among red rocks at the Moab Music Festival
The Moab Music Festival was founded in 1992 by two New York-based musicians
There are outdoor concerts and then there are concerts in the outdoors. The Moab Music Festival is an event that has perfectly combined music with the surrounding landscape and invites guests to come along for one-of-a-kind performances.
Unlike attending a concert at Denver’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, each concert during this music festival takes the musicians and the attendees into the landscape, such as during the festival’s “music hikes” where they have found naturally ideal acoustics for small chamber music performances.
If this level of adventure is not your style, there are concerts in more traditional settings, too, where you can simply drive to a local park, house or ranch in and near Moab and look around at the cliffs while sitting on a lawn and listening to the tunes.
