A piano recital of solo works by Lou Harrison performed by Michael Boriskin, including the lovely “Tandy’s Tango,” a group of waltzes, and featuring the amazing 12-tone “Suite for Piano” that Harrison wrote while studying with Schoenberg, a major work in the contemporary piano repertory, but heard infrequently. Also includes several early works with Cowell-like tone-clusters, and three of the neo-classic “Sonatas for Cembalo.”
