At the Moab Festival in Utah, patrons can hike to a secret spot to hear concerts.

The motto of the Moab Music Festival (Aug. 29-Sept. 9), set in the sublime red rock spaces around Moab, Utah, is “music in concert with the landscape.” Here you can sit in a natural rock amphitheater or hike to a secret wilderness location to hear a concert of music by Mozart and Beethoven. Gabriel Kahane is on had this year in a program called “The Future of American Song.”
