Cynthia Phelps, the principal violist of the New York Philharmonic, has performed around the world from Carnegie Hall to Royal Festival Hall in London. On Wednesday she’ll add a new location to the list: Petco Park, the baseball stadium in San Diego. Ms. Phelps will perform a viola version of the National Anthem before the San Diego Padres battle the Houston Astros.
